Next door to Steam-Bristol there’s a black wooden door with the word, Shebeen painted on it in white. This is a (semi) secret authentic Irish snug and liquor store that popped up in time for the 6 Nations on 4th February. It’s run by welcoming if irreverent Kevin and bar manager Richard. Pictured on the wall is Kevin’s father who was an international goalkeeper and played in goal for Ireland on numerous occasions. Kevin and Richard will remember your names, offer you a drink including a Guinness or beer which are on draft and something from their list of wines or whiskeys including Tullamore Dew. They’ll also offer you a bite to eat while you watch the sport – cheese, charcuterie or fish fresh from Cornish fishing boats.
Shebeen is available for FREE private hire for parties and whiskey tasting events on Sundays to Wednesdays. Call 0117 317 9200 to book Shebeen for your event.

Open Thursdays & Fridays at 5pm and Saturdays at 12 noon.
Check Shebeen’s Twitter feed and Facebook posts to see what sport is on in the bar.
